Konica Minolta Canada to Take Benefit from Trio of New Enthusiastic Leaders
Mississauga, ON – May 22, 2009 – Konica Minolta Business Solutions (Canada) Ltd. (Konica Minolta Canada), a leading provider of advanced imaging and networking technologies for the desktop to the print shop, today announced the addition of three new executive leaders. The recently appointed leaders (Satoshi (Sol) Tachioka as President; Grant Hume as Executive Vice President, Sales, Service and Marketing; and George Tanouye as Vice President, Finance and Administration) will focus on enhancing Konica Minolta's prominence in the Canadian marketplace while reinforcing its position as one of the world's top equipment and solutions providers.

Sol's distinguished career at Konica Minolta Business Technologies spans 29 years with abroad positions in Hong Kong and Germany, both times returning to Japan. He was most recently in charge of product planning, including hardware and solution software - participating in much of bizhub's recent innovative technological developments.
"I'm very excited to be part of the Konica Minolta team, working to position our award-winning products as creators of value for our customers", says Grant Hume, recently appointed Executive Vice-President, Sales, Service and Marketing for Konica Minolta Canada. "We're working diligently to plan for and anticipate a higher growth trajectory over the next 3 years," he adds.
Grant's notable experience includes 17 years at Xerox leading successful sales, marketing, product marketing, and operational teams both in the field and at Head Office. Executive roles leading sales and marketing teams followed at TELUS and Direct Energy.
"I look forward to ensuring Konica Minolta Canada becomes operationally excellent," said George Tanouye, Vice-President of Finance and Administration for Konica Minolta Canada. "I plan to use this opportunity, as a new member of the leadership team, to help Konica Minolta achieve even greater levels of financial performance," he adds.
George is a Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in the distribution and manufacturing sectors. Previous to Konica Minolta, he worked as a Senior Manager at KPMG in Toronto in their Assurance Practice, working primarily with multi-national clients, and was also a senior member of KPMG's Japanese practice.
