Konica Minolta Launches bizhub PRO C5500 Colour Production Print System

Based on the design and technology of the bizhub PRO C6500, which launched last October, the bizhub PRO C5500 digital printing system delivers up to 55 pages per minute (ppm) in both colour and black and white, and provides fast, reliable colour output with excellent image quality.

As with the bizhub PRO C6500, the bizhub PRO C5500 fills the gap between high-volume office-oriented colour-capable printer/copiers and high-volume production colour models. Offering flexible substrate handling capabilities, consistently outstanding image quality and formidable inline finishing options in a compact footprint, the bizhub PRO C5500 is targeted primarily toward corporate in-house printing centers (CRDs), quick printers (print-for-profit), commercial printers, and corporate data centers. • Konica Minolta's revolutionary Simitri HD Colour Polymerized Toner and S.E.A.D. imaging technology for consistently outstanding image quality.
• Maximum paper capacity of 4,250 sheets with all trays universally adjustable to handle up to 13" x 19.2" paper.
• Ability to handle heavy and coated stocks:
  • Duplex up to 256 gsm through any tray.
  • Simplex up to 300 gsm through bypass tray or optional LU-202 Large Capacity Tray.
• Flexible finishing options include:
  • FS-607 Booklet Maker Finisher - Sort, Staple up to 50-sheets, half-fold, tri-fold, saddle-stitch booklet creation (up to 80 page booklets)
  • FS-520 Stapling Finisher - Sort, Staple up to 50-sheets
  • OT-502 Simple Output Tray - Flat output up to 150-sheets
  • PK-512 Hole Punch Kit - Adds selectable 2 and 3 hole punch to either FS-607 & FS-520
  • PI-502 Post Inserter - Enables users to add pre-printed pages post-process for both FS-607 & FS-520)
• Optional embedded EFI Fiery IC-408 Image Controller featuring Fiery System 8e software.
