Konica Minolta Unveils Two New Colour AIOs to Cater to the Increased Printing Workflow Needs of Small and Mid-Sized Offices

RAMSEY, N.J. - November 6, 2007 -- Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. (Konica Minolta), a leading provider of advanced imaging and networking technologies from the desktop to the print shop, today announced the introduction of the bizhub C10 and bizhub C10X colour laser All-in-Ones (AIOs) that cater to the increased printing and workflow needs of today's small and mid-sized offices. The two bizhub™ AIOs, which outshines the competition in several categories, are ideal solutions for those looking to upgrade from single-function devices, monochrome laser printers and colour inkjet AIOs.

In today's complex business environment, companies of all sizes are now demanding efficient workflow and networked printing solutions to maintain a competitive edge. The bizhub C10/C10X series helps small- and medium-sized businesses compete by combining several essential office functions into a single machine that saves time, space, and money. The bizhub C10/C10X Series also features many of the same extensive printing, copying, and scanning features found on higher-end Konica Minolta bizhub multifunctional products (MFPs - print, copy, fax, and scan all in one system) that are geared toward larger organizations.

The new AIOs target Segment 1a, with the bizhub C10 and bizhub C10X both offering 20 pages per minute monochrome and five pages per minute in colour, as well as improved productivity across the board due to better duplex copy, scan speed and warm-up time features. Both newly unveiled networked AIOs provide a centralized "hub" that allows organizations to improve workflow efficiency and document management with a comprehensive and cost-effective colour solution. The bizhub C10/C10X Series also offers increased memory, Windows Vista™ support, and a low-noise engine so as to not disrupt smaller and quieter office settings.

Dependable, High-Speed Laser Performance

The bizhub C10/C10X Series features speedy first-page-out times of 13 seconds or less for black & white and 22 seconds or less for colour prints. Multiple copies are delivered at 20 black & white or 5 full colour pages per minute, regardless of the print quality chosen. Documents and photographs can be scanned in less than 4 seconds per black & white page and 10 seconds per 24-bit colour page.

Print Quality

The bizhub C10/C10X Series delivers outstanding print quality for any type of document. The following print resolutions are available: 2400 x 600 dpi, 1200 x 600 dpi, and 600 x 600 dpi. Printing at 2400 dpi resolution produces crisp text, rich blacks, vibrant colours, realistic photographs, detailed textures, and smooth shading.

Copy Quality

The following copy quality settings are available: Photo, Text, Mix/Normal, Fine. Copy quality can be enhanced by specifying the type of document (text, photo, mixed) being copied as well as by adjusting brightness and density. Copies can be resized easily by using the 50-200% zoom function. All features are available through one-touch keys on the control panel.

PC Fax Quality

The FaxTalk Communicator software bundled with the bizhub C10/C10X Series provides digital PC Fax send and receive functionality and allows you to annotate faxes before sending or printing. Two fax resolutions are available: Fine (200 x 200 dpi) and Standard (200 x 100 dpi).

Simitri Colour Polymerized Toner

Konica Minolta Simitri™ Colour Polymerized Toner, composed of uniformly sized toner particles, produces beautiful colours, clear text even in small sizes, and smooth halftones-regardless of the print quality or media type selected. Colour remains consistent from print to print because each batch of Simitri Colour Polymerized Toner is tested for optimal colour quality. Simitri Colour Polymerized Toner also features improved fusing, so output is more durable and never smears or fades like inkjet prints.

Plus, Simitri Colour Polymerized Toner has a life expectancy of over 100 years for output that lasts for generations.

Multipass Colour Laser Technology

The bizhub C10/C10X Series features Konica Minolta multipass colour laser technology with improved printing precision. New optical technology on the print head allows for a wider angle, which greatly reduces the distance between the print head and the media. Decreasing this distance reduces the overall size of the unit, making it more compact.

Camera Direct Photo Printing

The Camera Direct Photo Print function allows digital images to be printed directly from a PictBridge enabled digital camera-no PC or special software required. Photos can be printed on any supported media up to 8.5" x 11". Borderless 4" x 6" prints are also available.

Exceptional Media Handling

The bizhub C10/C10X Series supports a wide variety of standard and custom media sizes (from 3.6" x 5.8" to 8.5" x 14"), as well as all common types of office media, including plain paper, thick stock, glossy stock, transparencies, labels (mailing, CD ROM, etc.), and envelopes.
